On April 4, the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces blamed the Syrian government for a chemical weapon attack in Khan Shaykhun in the Idlib province.
Damascus denied any involvement in the Idlib incident, while the Syrian army said it does not possess chemical weapons.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on April 5 that the airstrike near Khan Shaykhun by the Syrian air force hit a terrorist warehouse that stored chemical weapons slated for delivery to Iraq, and called on the UN Security Council to launch a proper investigation into the incident.
この文章を読むと、シリア軍は化学兵器の所有そのものを否定している。そして、Khan Shaykhun 近くにあるテロリストの倉庫をシリア軍が空爆した。その倉庫にはイラクに運ばれる予定の化学兵器が貯蔵されていたことがわかる。
つまり、Khan Shaykhun で発生した毒ガス事件の毒ガスはテロリストの所有物であったと言うことだ。とすると、あの衝撃的映像を流したのは誰か？現在の状況で化学兵器を使って、シリア政府にどんなメリットがあるか？国際社会から非難されるのは分かり切ったことだ。実に、不可解なことが多すぎる。
ラヴロフ外相が主張するように、国連は、徹底した調査を行うべきだ。真相を闇に葬ってはならない。
そして昨日、トランプ政権は22000ポンドもある巨大な爆弾を、アフガニスタンに投下したらしい。トランプ大統領はそれを称賛したと言うが、軍事アナリストは、その効果を疑問視している。
